1. Where your data lives
Woman 2027 is private by design. By default, everything you write — tasks, journal, budget, vault, cycle, wedding plans and all other data — is stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. There is no account, no login, and nothing is uploaded, tracked, sold or shared.
No cookies, no tracking. This app does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party data brokers — nothing is set or read by the app, by its hosting (Cloudflare Pages) or by the sync service, and nothing follows you across sites. Under the GDPR/UK ePrivacy rules this is "strictly necessary" storage needed to run the app you asked for, so no consent banner or separate cookies policy is required. The app only ever connects to these places:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — loads the typefaces shown in the app. Google may log standard connection data (such as your IP address) according to its own policies.
- The sync service (see section 2) — but only if you enter a licence code and choose to sync.
Because your data stays on your device, you control it entirely: you can export a backup at any time from Settings → Backup, and delete everything from your device from Settings → Erase all data.
2. Sync service (licence mode)
Your licence code unlocks the full template, and the app works with cloud sync switched off by default. When you enter your code, the app only verifies the licence online (sending the code and a device identifier — never your journal data) so it can open the template and keep the 30-day offline grace period working. Your data is not uploaded unless you choose to turn on cloud sync.
If you turn cloud sync on, the app may offer to keep your data in sync across up to 4 of your devices. In that mode, a copy of your journal is transmitted to and stored on our sync service, run by ChicTemplateByAmanda on Cloudflare infrastructure. The sync service is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., whose edge and database servers may be located outside your country (including outside the EEA), for example in the APAC region.
- What is sent: only when sync is on, your journal data (the same things stored on your device).
- In transit: all communication is encrypted over HTTPS.
- At rest: snapshots are kept on our provider's servers so your devices can stay in agreement. There is no account, no profile and no way for us to identify you beyond the licence code and the device identifiers the app generates.
- Transfers outside the EEA/UK: where your data is transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised by those laws (including, where relevant, the EU–US and UK–US data transfer frameworks and standard contractual clauses).
- Retention: a synced snapshot is kept while the licence is active and is removed when the code is revoked or at your written request.
Sync is a choice, not a requirement: you can turn it off at any time in Settings (your journal stays on your device), or turn it on later without re-entering your code. Your local copy of the data is unaffected either way.
3. Your rights — Europe (GDPR, UK GDPR)
ChicTemplateByAmanda is the data controller for the sync service. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the GDPR (and UK GDPR) give you these rights, which we exercise for free and without delay:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (export a backup anytime from Settings → Backup).
- Rectify or erase it — erase everything from Settings → Erase all data, or ask us to remove the synced copy (section 12).
- Restrict or object to processing, and port your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis — sync is optional and can be disabled (section 2).
- Complain to your local supervisory authority (e.g. an EU national data protection authority, the UK ICO, or the Swiss FDPIC).
Lawful bases (Art. 6 GDPR): we process licence codes and device identifiers to perform our contract with you (selling and delivering the app you bought); we process sync data to perform that service you choose to use; we rely on legitimate interest for basic service security (anti-abuse); and counts of competing requests (robots) are negligible. We do not sell your data and we do not run profiling or automated decisions about you based on this data.
4. Other regions around the world
This page is intended to cover buyers wherever you are, alongside the local law that protects you:
- California, USA (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to opt out of any sale or share of your data, and not to be discriminated against. We never sell or share personal information — the sync copy is provided solely to the licence-holder and is deleted on request. We have no "do not sell my data" requirement because we do not sell data.
- Brazil (LGPD): you have rights similar to those in section 3 and you may complain to the ANPD.
- Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and other jurisdictions with privacy or consumer law: we adopt the same high-level defaults — local-first storage, no tracking, encrypted transfer, and data access/deletion on request.
In all cases, the underlying rule is the same: we do not collect, sell or use your journal data for anything other than providing you a local-first personal planner and (if you choose) syncing it to your own devices. Readers consent to that description.
5. Not for children — minimum age 16
Woman 2027 is a personal planner for adults and is not directed at children.
- You must be at least 16 years old to install or use the app. If the law where you live sets a higher age for handling your own personal data (the GDPR allows EEA member states to set up to 16), then that higher age applies to you.
- We do not knowingly collect or store personal data of children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has entered a licence code or used the sync service, contact us (section 12) and we will remove it promptly.
6. Data loss disclaimer
You are responsible for keeping copies of your data. Woman 2027 stores its data in your browser on your device, which means it can be lost if the browser, device or operating system clears its storage, the browser blocks or resets local storage, the device is lost, damaged or replaced, the app or browser is uninstalled, or local storage is otherwise unavailable. The service does not keep a copy unless you are using sync (section 2).
Back up regularly: use Settings → Backup/Export to save a copy of your journal, and keep that file somewhere safe. Reinstalling or switching devices may reset the local copy, and we cannot recover data that was only ever stored locally.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChicTemplateByAmanda is not liable for any loss, corruption or unavailability of your data, whether caused by the app, the browser, the device, the network, the sync service or otherwise. The app is provided for personal organisational use, not as a data-storage or archival service.
7. Your licence to use the app
Each purchase gives you, the buyer, a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Woman 2027 (all planners included) on up to 4 of your own devices, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- share, resell, redistribute or publish your licence code, the app files, or any part of them;
- copy, repackage or resell the app or its design to anyone else;
- use the app in any way that is unlawful, harmful or infringes anyone's rights.
The licence is granted for as long as the purchase is valid and may end if the code is revoked under section 10.
8. Intellectual property
Woman 2027 — the software, design, illustrations, text and a unique digital product — is the intellectual property of ChicTemplateByAmanda. Buying the template grants you the licence in section 7 and does not transfer ownership of the code, design or any underlying intellectual property rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Etsy's IP policy protects both sides: your content stays yours, and this product stays ours.
9. No warranty & limitation of liability
Woman 2027 is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of cycle, wellness, budgeting or any other guidance. The app offers general recording tools, not medical, financial or professional advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChicTemplateByAmanda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or use, arising out of or in connection with the app or its use, even where the possibility of such loss was known. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of your country (for example, the consumer-protection laws described in section 11).
10. Refunds & revoking a licence
Purchases are made through Etsy and refunds are handled under Etsy's policies and your local consumer law. If an order is refunded, disputed or charged back, the licence code for that order is revoked, which stops that code from working on all devices and removes it from the sync service. If you believe a revocation was made in error, contact us through Etsy with your order number and we will restore it if valid.
11. Governing law
If you buy as a consumer, your mandatory consumer-protection rights under the law of the country where you live apply and cannot be removed by this page. Consumers in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland may always enforce their rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR against ChicTemplateByAmanda. For all other users, this page is governed by the laws of the country in which you, the user, reside. Nothing here restricts rights you cannot lawfully waive.
12. Contact
This page is provided by ChicTemplateByAmanda, the seller and data controller. For any privacy, data-erasure or legal question — such as asking us to remove a synced copy — contact us through our Etsy shop: etsy.com/shop/ChicTemplateByAmanda. When you contact us about your data, please identify the licence code involved so we can respond correctly. We will respond without undue delay and, for EEA/UK/Swiss requests, within one month as required by the GDPR.
